May 20, 2019 to May 20, 2019
Kathryn Lancaster, PhD, MPH
Assistant Professor, Division of Epidemiology
College of Public Health
Ohio State University
As an infectious disease epidemiologist, Dr. Lancaster is passionate about addressing the burden of substance use and HIV/STI among key populations in the United States and globally. Her work, specifically among people who inject drugs and female sex workers, has resulted in publications in the Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS), Lancet, International Journal of Drug Policy, PLoS One, and the Journal of Medical Ethics.
This talk will focus on sociocontextual, cultural, and behavioral determinants of substance use and HIV, and the implementation of interventions to reduce substance use and HIV among vulnerable populations in low resource settings globally.
