Dr. Daniel Dibaba is a Research Associate in the Department of Epidemiology and the UK Markey Cancer Center. He coordinates an ongoing case-control study on the risk factors of breast cancer and is working on the design of pilot clinical trial on the effect of intensive diet and physical activity lifestyle program on metabolic syndrome among cancer patients and its effect on cancer survival, and prognosis. Dr. Dibaba is also investigating the joint and independent associations of calcium and magnesium with ischemic stroke and metabolic syndrome.
