Dr. Susan Pollack an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health. Her primary appointment is in the UK College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Pollack manages the She manages the Pediatric and Adolescent Injury Prevention Program at in the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center, and is a physician with board certification in pediatrics and occupational medicine. Dr. Pollack is interested in all aspects of injury epidemiology and prevention for the pediatric and adolescent age group – including teaching health professions and the general public about injury prevention. She has also been active in researching and publicizing the issue of occupational injuries among working teens. Major funding of her program currently comes from Emergency Medical Services for Children.
