Migrant Outreach Program-KCHIP to host the Migrant Network Coalition

Oct 4, 2021 to Oct 4, 2021

The Migrant Outreach Program-Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) is hosting the Migrant Network Coalition (MNC) virtual monthly meeting. Each meeting features an informational speaker, discussion of current trends affecting immigrant and refugee communities in the Bluegrass, organizational updates, and networking opportunities with other community leaders and organizations. The next is scheduled for Monday, October 4th, 2021 at noon, which will be the third meeting.

Since 1994, the MNC has been a broad-based coalition of public and private organizations and individuals networking to meet the wide range of needs of our diverse immigrant communities in the state of Kentucky. They seek to improve services for immigrants and refugees by providing community education, raising awareness about barriers to equal community participation, and sharing information along service providers and with the community at-large through a network of nonprofit and profit organizations.

This month, Jennifer Reynolds, Council District 11 representative of Lexington, will be the special guest speaker. With over ten years of experience in fundraising, non-profit work, and community outreach Jennifer brings young, new energy to Lexington’s Urban County Council. Her background in anthropology and community service aid her in caring for all of the 11th District and will share her unique perspective at the Migrant Network Coalition virtual meeting on October 4th.
