Hoover Gives Invited Presentation at National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences

Dr. Anna Goodman Hoover, assistant professor of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health, was one of eleven early-stage investigators from across the United States selected to deliver a research poster presentation at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Environmental Health Sciences Core Centers Annual Meeting in Iowa City, IA on June 20, 2019. The poster, “‘Nor Any Drop to Drink’: Revealing Water Resources Knowledge and Concerns In Appalachian Eastern Kentucky”, describes ongoing research funded by the NIEHS-supported UK Center for Appalachian Research in the Environmental Sciences to develop and validate an Environmental Health Literacy assessment instrument for the region’s water quality challenges.
