Purpose

Enrollment Add/Drop - To help a student register for or drop from a course in CPH.

Procedure

Students should always enroll online through their student account. UK prefers that students register themselves, as then it shows they elected to be put in to or taken out of a course. However, when issues arise, the college’s Academic Affairs Administrator (AAA) will be the person to assist with the process.

Process

If a student is unable to register for or drop a course (ie: some error that does not require an override, or per an instructor request) then the AAA will use myUK to register or drop the student. Use the Student Administration Tab --> Advising Services Tab --> Registration (GPS) (left side) --> Degree Planning and Registration (left side). Then under the “Home” drop down, select “Quick Registration”. Use the “Find a course” to select the correct course number and section (and sometimes select the degree it applies to or the # of credit hours, depending on the course & student needs). Select “Register” and the student should be put into the course. Or – select “Quick Registration”, find the course needed to be dropped, and select the tick-box next to that course. Select “Drop Selected Courses” and the student will be removed.
