Catalyst is the college’s official annual magazine. Each year, the Marketing and Communications team collects and captures the best stories, events, and news based on the Dean’s vision/theme to share with our broad public health community, which is a mix of alumni, community partners, public health leaders, current CPH staff and faculty, students, and more.

Everyone in the College is strongly encouraged to express their ideas on how they would like to help the Marketing and Communications team package the best magazine possible. Each year, we are looking for a rich balance of information and inspiration that best displays our college’s ability to further its mission and vision.

All current and past issues can be found here.

Process & Procedures

  • Send a request on the Marketing and Communications page here under General Requests, Ideas, Messaging, or Creative Needs
  • Complete the Qualtrics survey thoroughly.
  • The Marketing and Communication team will follow up with the requestor, if necessary, to discuss your submission in more detail.
  • Currently, Catalyst is an annual magazine, with a target release date in the first quarter of each year (January – March).
  • Approved content for Catalyst is established by the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Dean.

Best Practices

  • We ask that ideas/submissions occur between Summer and Fall of each year (June – October) to allow the Marketing and Communications team ample time to review, consider, and possibly implement the suggestions and follow up with pertinent parties in a timely way.
  • The Director of Marketing and Communications team typically puts together a committee each year to provide feedback and suggestions for the magazine. If you wish to serve on the committee, let us know.
