I grew up in East Tennessee and completed a BA in Economics at the University of Georgia. I now work as a research assistant with Dr. Jayani Jayawardhana en route to completion of a PhD in Health Services Research (HSR). I am also pursuing a medical degree through the University of Kentucky MD/PhD Program.
I incorporate a background in basic neuroscience research and medical training into my HSR research, which applies aspects of pharmacoepidemiology and causal inference to study treatments for neuroinflammation and mental illness.
