In this competitive program, complete a Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) and Master of Public Health (MPH) in five years. Students admitted to the University Scholars Program will have the opportunity to complete twelve hours of their MPH required coursework during their final year of undergraduate study. The tuition cost for these hours will be set at the student’s current undergraduate tuition rate. Tuition during the final year of study will be based on the University of Kentucky’s graduate tuition rate.
Students will apply during their junior year. This window opens in mid-August and is available until February 1 for international students and April 1 for domestic students. Students wishing must fulfill the following requirements:
Admission to BPH program
Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
Major GPA of 3.5 or higher
Average of all completed CPH, BST, and GRN courses
Complete the SOPHAS Application. You will need the following:
Personal statement,
Writing sample,
Official TOEFL scores (for international students from non-native English-speaking countries),
Transcript(s) for all prior graduate or undergraduate education, **
Contact information for 3 recommenders who will be asked to complete a survey and submit a letter of recommendation
A resume or CV.
