Team Up is a re-envisioned practice-based research network. We chose the name Team Up: A Public Health Academic Practice Collaborative to convey our desire for this initiative to be devoted to teaming up with practitioners, community members, students, and many others to work on issues for public health improvement. We envision working with students and faculty to increase understanding of collaborating with practice, working with practice partners to move projects forward with technical assistance in evaluation, health assessments, group facilitation, and other issues, and also working with practice partners to identify research questions, funding opportunities and development of a strong research structure.
