Program Planning, Management, & Evaluation (PPME) concentrators receive training in planning, managing, and evaluating public health programs, preparing them to lead to a wide range of initiatives, including epidemiological surveillance programs, community-wide health behavior change interventions, and nationwide policy efforts.
These courses ensure that PPME concentrators achieve and are assessed in the required knowledge and skills for the degree. The courses help students attain five (5) concentration competencies:
Recommend strategies for community engagement.
Prioritize health needs within a community.
Plan multi-level community interventions.
Develop strategic management skills for implementing community level programs.
Assess program effectiveness.
Along with enrolling in all MPH core curriculum courses, Program Planning, Management & Evaluation concentrators will be required to complete 18 credit hours of coursework:

Program Planning, Management & Evaluation concentrators also will enroll in 3 credit hours of MPH electives, with course topics ranging from environ-mental epidemiology to health disparities to health policy.
