The field of public health is a combination of many different fields that come together and compliment each other in order to solve the challenging health problems in the communities that we service. This is why the UK College of Public Health believes in providing many opportunities to give back in order to pay it forward to the next generation.

Supports the teaching, research, and service mission of the college. Gifts support scholarship opportunities for students, lecture series, non-research funded professional development opportunities, and other expenses.
Provides support for students experiencing emergency situations where additional financial support is needed.
Provides scholarships for students pursuing a master of health administration degree.
Provides scholarship funding for students pursuing a bachelor, master’s or doctoral level degree in all academic programs within the College of Public Health.
Scholarships are available for students pursuing a master of public health degree who are from an Appalachian county in Kentucky as designated by the ARC. Preference is given to those who have a commitment to improving health in the Appalachian region and indicate a desire to return to the Appalachian region upon graduation to promote and improve public health in the region.
Awarded to students whose research supports air quality and/or environmental health.
Supports students pursuing a PhD in gerontology.
Fellowship for students with potential leadership in the field of gerontology.
Established in 2021 in honor of long-time faculty member Martha Riddell. The scholarship supports students in the master of health administration program.
A scholarship established in 2021 by alumni to support students pursuing a master of health administration degree.
Supports UK students interested in gerontology research related to quality of life for rural elder populations.
Supports a female student enrolled in gerontology who demonstrates academic potential and who aspires to strengthen lives of young women.
Established in 2008 to honor a long-time professor – Dr. F. Douglas Scutchfield which awarded to a faculty member in the College of Public Health who holds the rank of tenured full professor and who has research interest clearly linked to health services delivery or public health systems.

The University of Kentucky College of Public Health is undergoing a review by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for re-accreditation. Part of this process includes the invitation to provide third-party comments. Anyone, including students, alumni, employers, community partners, etc., is allowed to share relevant information about the college directly with CEPH. If you would like to provide input to CEPH to inform their review, send your comments to submissions@ceph.org by May 4th, 2025.
