Department of Health Management & Policy
In the Department of Health Management and Policy, our community works to build better systems of care and public policy to improve the health of all populations including vulnerable or underserved populations. In our research, we apply tools from a variety of disciplines to big picture health and healthcare problems.
We build partnerships with local, state, and national stakeholders to share data and knowledge, empower visionary leadership, and bring about meaningful health improvements.
We offer the next generation of innovators in health and healthcare, our students, the opportunity to pursue several programs including the Bachelor of Public Health, Masters in Public Health with a health management and policy emphasis, the Masters in Health Administration, and the PhD in Health Services Research.
"We are a highly collaborative group of faculty, staff and students who want to make a BIG difference in health and healthcare. Our faculty and staff members are experts in healthcare management, health policy, health economics and finance, outcomes measurement and improvement, safe systems, public health practice, and person-centered care.
We are an incredible team, working together to address health and healthcare challenges and equip and inspire others to do the same. The Commonwealth of Kentucky (and the rest of the world) needs more passionate, well-trained individuals focused on improving health and health care. I encourage you to explore our department, programs, and find ways to engage with (or join) us!"
