MPH Master of Public Health Admissions

STEP 1: Apply to the MPH program using SOPHAS:

Requirements for this application are below:

• Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended

• CV

• Personal Statement

• Writing Sample

• Three letters of recommendation

• The MPH program is now test-optional. You may submit official GRE, GMAT or MCAT scores if you choose.

STEP 2: "If offered admission through SOPHAS, apply to the UK Graduate School following your SOPHAS application decision.

Applicants must meet the Graduate School admission requirements.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Fall:

• Environmental Health Applicant Deadline (offered on-campus ONLY):

  • May 31 for Domestic Applicants

  • April 1 for International Applicants

• Epidemiology Applicant Deadline (offered on-campus ONLY):

  • May 31 for Domestic Applicants

  • April 1 for International Applicants

• Health Management and Policy (HMP) Applicant Deadline (offered ONLINE only):

  • May 31 for Domestic Applicants

  • April 1 for International Applicants

Applications are not accepted for the Spring or Summer semesters.

You will also need to apply to the University of Kentucky Graduate School. Graduate school application should not be completed until after admitted through SOPHAS.

The UK Graduate School deadline is April 1 for international students, or at least one month before starting classes for domestic (US) students.

All information received from your SOPHAS application is sent to the Graduate School by the College of Public Health. When completing your application for the Graduate School, you can upload the documents you used for your SOPHAS application, or you can submit blank sheets of paper.
