Candidate, Dr. Emma Sartin, PhD, MPH, is participating in a job talk (with Q&A to follow) with the Health, Behavior & Society department at the UK College of Public Health on Friday, April 1st at 10am via Zoom.
She will be speaking on the topic, “Improving transportation outcomes for vulnerable populations”.
Dr. Sartin is a PhD-trained Developmental Psychologist with expertise in Health Behaviors (MPH). She currently leads a mixed-methods research program primarily focused on improving transportation outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Her work includes studies creating interventions to bolster safe mobility for autistic adolescents, examining sources of disparities in child occupant protection, and the unintended impacts or consequences of license suspensions.
She also works extensively with engineers and industry partners to conduct formative research on emerging technologies and to develop and evaluate the usability, acceptability, appropriateness, and feasibility of traffic safety resources, interventions, and tools tailored for end-users across the lifespan (e.g., aging adults, teen drivers, child passengers).
All CPH faculty and staff are invited to attend. For additional questions, contact Heather Fortney, Department Manager for the Health, Behavior & Society department.
