The Migrant Outreach Program for the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program (KCHIP) is hosting the Migrant Network Coalition (MNC) virtual monthly meeting. Each meeting features an informational speaker, discussion of current trends affecting immigrant and refugee communities in the Bluegrass, organizational updates, and networking opportunities with other community leaders and organizations.
Since 1994, the MNC has been a broad-based coalition of public and private organizations and individuals networking to meet the wide range of needs of our diverse migrant and immigrant communities in the state of Kentucky. They seek to improve services for immigrants and refugees by providing community education, raising awareness about barriers to equal community participation, and sharing information along with service providers and with the community-at-large through a network of nonprofit organizations.
The Migrant Outreach Program's vison is to work collaboratively with all programs at UK dealing with the migrant and outreach community and bring everyone together in the Migrant Network Coalition -- one big community where everyone can collaborate and network.
This month, Lindsay Mattingly will talk about the Kentucky Refugee & Immigrant Inclusion Summit (KRIIS) on Monday, April, 4th 2022 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm. This meeting is virtual, and want to thank everyone for their support in keeping our families and our members safe and healthy. Speaker was invited by Wendy Keene board of directors of the MNC.
