Happy Pride Month from the College of Public Health! ️ This June, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a pivotal moment in the fight for equality. While Pride celebrations have existed for decades, federal recognition in the US came in 1999 when President Bill Clinton declared June "Gay & Lesbian Pride Month." Since then, it's become a continuous celebration of LGBTQ+ rights and achievements. Public health champions the well-being of ALL people, and we're committed to creating a healthier future where everyone can thrive, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
LGBTQ* Resources is the University of Kentucky's central hub for accessing information, groups, and services related to diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
