Clinical Associate Professor

Tracey Thomas, DrPH, CHES, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Health Management & Policy at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. Her teaching and scholarship focus on public health workforce development, applied evaluation, and community health assessment, with a commitment to experiential learning that connects students to public health practice.

Dr. Thomas's career has spanned both academia and public health practice. She has led workforce assessments, program evaluations, and community health initiatives that help organizations use evidence to strengthen programs, inform decision-making, and improve population health. She brings those experiences into the classroom, helping students connect public health theory with the realities of practice.

At UK, she looks forward to deepening partnerships with Kentucky's public health community, supporting applied learning opportunities for students, providing technical assistance to practitioners, and contributing to workforce development efforts across the state and the Appalachian region.
