Shaw Powell received his bachelor's from EKU in 2011 in Art Education. He served 7 years in the military then completed his Master of Science in Medical Science in 2021. He studied leukemia trafficking and drug impacts on leukemia in a zebrafish model during his 4 years working under Dr. Blackburn in UK Biochemistry department. He is currently investigating infectious disease at the Kentucky Department for Public Health.
