The UK College of Public Health and the department of Biostatistics welcomes Dr. Hongbin Zhang. In this talk, Dr. Zhang introduces three longitudinal studies in: 1) AIDS clinical trials, 2) neurocysticercosis treatment and 3) HIV surveillance.
This event is open to all CPH faculty, staff, and students.
Focusing on scientific questions and data complexities, Dr. Zhang will show the proposed statistical models and methods. Topics such as 1) joint model of nonlinear mixed effects models (NLME) and accelerated failure time (AFT), 2) multi-state model with missing not at random (MNAR) and clustering, and 3) random change-point model with segmented NLME will be briefly covered where the computational approaches like MCEM (Monte Carlo EM) and StEM (Stochastic version of EM) will be discussed and compared.
