Study abroad opportunity in Italy! The course, Anatomy: History, Medicine, and Art (ANA 809) will begin June 1, 2022 with pre-travel study (classroom learning, discussion, readings, etc). The travel portion of the course will be June 13 (depart June 12) to June 27, 2022.
Destination will include visiting Rome, Florence, and Bologna with day trips to Pompeii and Padua. Landmarks will include the Vatican, Museums & Sistine Chapel, Capuchin Crypts, Uffizi, Accademia, historical dissection theater at the Archiginassio palace, and the anatomic waxes at La Specola and Palazzo Poggi.
The program fee includes all in-country transit, housing, admission to all of the program museums/sites and tours as relevant, as well as four group meals. It does not include your flight or food/beverage (outside the four group meals and hotel-provided breakfasts). The program page with the details and costs, and the link to apply, can be found here.
Professional and pre-professional students are eligible. Undergraduate students should have had an undergraduate anatomy course prior to the course.
