Dr. Richard Charnigo, PhD

Dr. Richard Charnigo is a Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health.
Dr. Charnigo completed his PhD in Statistics at Case Western Reserve University and has been a faculty member at the University of Kentucky since 2003. His primary appointment is in the Biostatistics Department at the College of Public Health and has a secondary appointment in the Statistics Department at the College of Arts and Sciences.
His main interests in statistical theory and methodology are nonparametric regression and mixture modeling. Dr. Charnigo is also involved in many studies relating to cardiovascular health. Through working with this student, he has now become more involved in research on Alzheimer’s disease, health care quality, and nephrology.
