The University of Kentucky's College of Public Health and the Health Management & Policy (HMP) department welcomes Dr. Hao Zhang, Research Associate in Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medical College, on October 28th, at 10am - 11am for a seminar (in-person and virtual option available).

All CPH students, staff, and faculty are invited.

Seminar Title:

"Intended and unintended consequences of opioid-related policies during the opioid epidemic"

Biography:

Dr. Hao Zhang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Department of Population Health Sciences, Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Zhang received his PhD in health services research from Texas A&M University. He also holds an MPH degree in epidemiology.

His main areas of research interest include evaluation of opioid-related policies, including Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs), PDMP mandates, and state opioid limit legislation, and substance use disorder treatment. He is also involved in studies focusing on disparity in hepatitis C treatment, health services utilization patterns among elder abuse victims and healthy aging.
