The University of Kentucky's College of Public Health (CPH) is excited to sponsor the 2022 National Public Health Week (NPHW), a week focused on shedding light on public health issues, celebrating the impact public health has on the world, and bringing awareness to the field of public health.

Daily events will be held throughout the week of Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8. All events on campus are free and open to the public.

This year's theme is "Public Health is Where You Are." The theme looks at how where we live impacts our communities’ health and how we can make our communities healthier, stronger, and safer. Join the College of Public Health community for a week of events to explore the role of strong communities on mental and physical health.

Events include a service project with the Hope Mobile; career development, mentoring, and networking opportunities; an invitation to the 17th Annual CCTS Spring Conference: Climate and Health and the CPH Student Awards; yoga/art therapy and mental health activities, the "Health for All Y’all" Health Equity Panel, and more.

"Public health week is an opportunity to spread awareness about the public health field," says Kylee Pipgrass, current CPH student. "Anytime I say my degree, it’s always followed with questions about what public health is and what we do. This week is a chance to show what public health means and how it impacts all of us. I have always loved public health week because it is open to everybody and demonstrates how we are all in this together!"

"This is a time to recognize all the professionals who work so hard to protect and promote the health of the community, and all the students who are working hard to do the same," says current CPH student Reilly Agmon. “This week represents the best of public health and is a time to celebrate achievements in the field. I am looking forward to all the fun events and opportunities for the college to come together and celebrate public health!"

All students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members are invited to attend. All events are FREE!
