Each year, on behalf of the Dean Donna K. Arnett, the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health honors two individuals each for the Public Health Legend, Distinguished Alumni Leader, and Promising Alumni Leader awards.
Formerly known has Hall of Fame, Legends and Leaders recognizes individuals and alumni for their outstanding achievements and contributions in public health, or who are defining a legacy in public health.
The "Public Health Legend" is bestowed upon an individual who has achieved sustained success in their field and made an outstanding contribution toward the goal of health improvement for the state of Kentucky.
The "Distinguished Alumni Leader" is bestowed upon an individual who graduated from the UK College of Public Health more than 5 years ago and has demonstrated perseverance and excellence in their career in public health and/or health administration.
The "Promising Alumni Leader" is bestowed upon an individual who graduated from the UK College of Public Health within the last 5 years and has laid the foundation for a promising career in public health.

The Legends and Leaders Awards Ceremony was held on May 19th, 2022.
The University of Kentucky College of Public Health is undergoing a review by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) for re-accreditation. Part of this process includes the invitation to provide third-party comments. Anyone, including students, alumni, employers, community partners, etc., is allowed to share relevant information about the college directly with CEPH.
