A) If you earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited US institution, then you are not required to complete any English language proficiency exams. If your degree is not from an accredited US institution, then you must adhere to the test score requirements here.
A) We have a limited number of scholarship funds available. The scholarship application will open in winter and no later than March 1. A) Assistantships are prioritized for College of Public Health doctoral students. However, we do have limited funds available for master’s students. Generally speaking, approximately 50% of our full-time masters-level students receive some sort of student employment. It is more likely funding opportunities will be available for the second year of your master’s program than the first year.
Full-time MHA students may be eligible for an administrative practicum position (APP).
A) The GRE is not required for admission to University of Public Health masters programs (Master of Health Administration (MHA), Master of Public Health (MPH), and Master of Science in Biostatistics (MS-Bst).
The GRE is required for admission to University of Kentucky College of Public Health doctoral programs, which includes PhD in Health Services Research, and PhD in Epidemiology & Biostatistics.
A) No, the College of Public Health does not offer application fee waivers. However, SOPHAS offers a limited number of application waivers on a first-come-first served basis. Call 617- 612-2090 to learn more.
A) No, you are not required to secure a supervisor prior to application or admission.
A) Yes, a WES evaluation is required for all foreign transcripts. Admission will not be considered until your WES evaluation has been submitted.
