Dr. Min-Woong Sohn is Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy and the F. Douglas Scutchfield Endowed Chair in Health Services and Systems Research.
Dr. Sohn earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on diabetes outcomes, surgical outcomes, sleep and its relationship to metabolic diseases, comparative effectiveness of clinical and policy interventions, racial and ethnic disparities in access to care, utilization, and health outcomes.
Recently, he was awarded an R01 grant funding from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to study disparities in the utilization of diabetes preventive care in the Diabetes Belt and surrounding areas.
