Our team is seeking to measure PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) exposure for those living in the East Liverpool, OH area. PFAS exposure can occur from many different sources, including water, food, and incineration.
Complete a short survey about potential PFAS exposure and your health
Provide a blood sample so we can measure PFAS chemicals
Allow testing of your home’s soil for PFAS
Wear a silicone wristband for 2 weeks to measure PFAS and other chemicals around you
May be asked to have your home’s drinking water collected and tested for PFAS
Everyone who is 18 years or older and has lived in the following areas since 2019 are invited to participate: East Liverpool, OH area including the towns of Chester or Lawrenceville, WV; Georgetown, Glasgow, or Midland, PA.
Participants will receive a $100 Walmart gift card.
You will also receive your individual test results and study-wide findings.
This research is funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
