UK College of Public Health releases CATalyst Magazine 2023 Edition "You Belong Here"

At the University of Kentucky’s College of Public Health (CPH), everyone belongs here.

The Winter 2023 edition of CATalyst, the official magazine of the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health and dedicated to the memory and legacy of Dr. F. Douglas “Scutch” Scutchfield, showcases a variety of success stories including alumni, events, faculty, staff, programs, students, researchers, community, partners, and more.

“At CPH, we train health champions,” says Heather Bush, acting dean of the College of Public Health. “Students who find their home here tell us they discover a sense of place within our programs. It is not because of our classrooms, building, or even curriculum. It is our people and the relationships that form as we work for the health of others, together, as a community.”

Themed "You Belong Here", this newest edition of CATalyst highlights public health impact through multiple categories including academics & student excellence; robust research; service to public health; collaboration & partnerships; community impact; careers and workforce development, alumni success, and more.

“After reading this issue of CATalyst, you will find that our people come to public health from many pathways,” says Bush. “Each one of us belongs here. We belong here because we share a commitment to making a difference. We belong here because we believe that the health of others deserves champions. We belong here because we know that prevention is possible. You belong here, too.”
