The Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center (KIPRC), part of the University of Kentucky College of Public Health, has launched the Kentucky Injury-Free Academy (KIFA), a new initiative designed to support local teams in developing and strengthening community-based violence prevention strategies.
In her new position, Dr. Miller is focused on strengthening internal collaboration, championing existing health initiatives, and building community partnerships to broaden the health department’s impact.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from UK College of Public Health (CPH), Marissa English knew she wanted to explore her academic interests more deeply.
A public health major on the pre-law track, Maggard-Staton is dedicated to addressing health disparities through policy.
