Dr. Angela Carman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health, Behavior & Society (HBS) and serves as Vice Chair in the HBS department.
Her research interests focus on the practice of public health and include evidence-based intervention implementation, community engagement, public health accreditation readiness and quality improvement. She has received funding from NIH, CDC, and Robert Wood Johnson for this work.
Since joining the faculty in 2012, Dr. Carman has actively worked with local health departments, hospitals, and other community partners to complete community health assessments, community health improvement plans, strategic plans, and to address team development and management issues.
Before pursuing her Doctorate in Public Health, Dr. Carman was CEO of Berea Hospital, in Berea, Ky.
